to make things clear:

a FON hotspot is managed mode and not mesh. thus it won't connect to
other FON hotspots to form a common network. on the other hand, a
Meraki is a mesh router, so it doesn't even make sense to have a
single router -- the purpose of Merakis is to connect with one another
to form a mesh network.
