hello from copenhagen -

sharing the respect and thanks to all that have been involved in
developing the open-mesh product (hw and sw),

however we have to say that after testing a batch of 20 nodes,
we were not very pleased - on hardware level.

stability problems, dropouts, need for powercycles, unstable RF output
over the various channels, etc

i tried to find time at the ICTP recently to measure this thoroughly,
and document - but didnt.
some of the reasons for the odd behavior are known, others not.

at the moment, in that price class i d prefer the Ubiquitis.

but, to underline again,

no disrespect at all for the great work -

maybe we were just unlucky and caught a monday batch.

i d also need to add that we tested the nodes in an area of extremely
dense 802.11b/g ..... 50+ accessible networks in my living room, ...

(and the open-meshes are vulnerable to that)
