[annotator-dev] Small observation on text highlighting

I was playing around with highlighting text on the demo page of the Annotator:
http://okfnlabs.org/annotator/demo/

Ideally, when one would highlight text on the page, the text should
remain highlighted when the icon comes up. Sometimes, I observe that
the highlighted text goes away when the icon comes up. It happens
sporadically. If this happens, then the user would not know on what
he/she has highlighted.

Has anyone seen this before?
