Hello all,

I am Yifan Ning from DBMI, University of Pittsburgh. As a group, we are working on fork at "

https://github.com/ningyifan/annotator" and aims at templating annotation. Currently, i am trying to implement user authentication and annotation permission features by use module authz. Will be great appreciate if anyone can help me on questions below.

Where user information should stores at? Are we suppose to have a back-end store, RDB for example, to keep user account and permission information that maps to field 'user' of annotations in elastico? Or, there are simpler way to implement it? What's the benefits of authz module?

We are using annotator V2.0 and annotator-store for annotation persistence. Documentation at "

http://docs.annotatorjs.org/en/latest/api/authz.html#annotator.authz.acl"<http://docs.annotatorjs.org/en/latest/api/authz.html#annotator.authz.acl> about module authz seems not quite helpful. Thanks!

Best wishes,

Yifan
