[annotator-dev] Hi hi!

Hey Brian, Oliver, and everyone.

My apologies for the delays on the ASF front. Here's the status and the plan update you've all been waiting for.

I checked with our Mentor at the ASF, and we've actually done enough already to drive this to a vote at the Incubator.

I plan to send that "[VOTE] Apache Annotator" email later today which (we're all hopeful) we'll result in our incubating at the ASF. :)

What's next for us as a community are:
 - plan our code work and project focus
 - curate the content we have now (code, sites, etc) to prep for migrating the stuff we want to keep over to the ASF
 - plan time to work on the migration, community building, and engagement

Summers are hard for time and schedules (mine's been uniquely so...and I apologize). We should be through the actual hurdle shortly, and then it's the sausage/tofu making. ^_^

Sorry again for the delay, but I hope that sets us on a good path! Questions welcome. :D

Cheers!
Benjamin

Hey Brian,

yes indeed the project got a little bit on hold recently.
Benjamin had a lot of stuff to do in the recent weeks. But he found all necessary mentors at the ASF and we can soon move further. Took some more time than anticipated.

We will notify you as soon as we move further.

Thanks for being proactive!

Best,
Oliver
