[ckan-dev] File Upload Hugs ckan 1.7

I have set up ckan 1.7 on ubuntu 10.04 and enabled local file
storage 

## OFS configuration
ofs.impl = pairtree
ofs.storage_dir =
/etc/ckan/aerc
## 'Bucket' (subdirectory for file based storage) to use
for file storage
ckan.storage.bucket = uploads 

but when i try to
upload a file it checks for credentials, and when i press the upload
button, it trys to upload and hangs like that for ever. wondering if
anyone else has come across this ?
