[ckan-dev] Future of the publisher refactor

Hi Ross,
[cc'ing in ckan-dev. Background for the list is that I'd like to use the
publisher functionality being developed in CKAN-core and am having some
issues. Namely that:
* When you edit the group, there is no functionality to add/edit or
manage users eg /group/users/test gives a 404.
* The list of a user's groups doesn't appear in their profile page the
way it did for DGU
* There is none of the "request access to a publisher workflow" on the
profile page
The most important of these is the first one. The code is there, just
that it isn't loading. Before I start debugging I thought I'd get in
touch with Ross to find out if this was even supposed to be functional
in core yet.

I am thanks. Busy working on my KVM-based hosting infrastructure which
is all fun.
> We started doing some of this work in the internal publisher_form extension, although it isn't exactly like the DGU codebase at present. It's what I'm working on in this sprint though as I am adding some more features that we discussed recently so that it is more useful for non-DGU clients.
OK, great. Which branch are you doing your work on?
I'd like to volunteer to help because this is a feature I think would be
really useful for pretty much everyone. Perhaps I'll give you a quick
Skype a bit later and see if my involvement would be useful?
Found the core docs here:
https://github.com/okfn/ckan/blob/master/doc/publisher-profile.rst
Other people following on list might also like to see:

I'd like to get the functionality to the stage where I can document the
workflow with screenshots. I'll contribute that documentation back to
the project.
Cheers,
James
