[ckan-dev] Harvest extension update files

Hi Isabel,
The harvester extension does not import remote data, just metadata
from other catalogs, that is it won't download a file, just import the
title, description, etc around it.
I don't think there is a way in CKAN to automatically update an
uploaded file. I think you will have to write a separate application
that updates the actual files and removes the old ones, and perhaps
later call the CKAN API to update the resource metadata (eg file size,
last updated, etc).
I know that other users on the list have explored using the datastore
to store real-time data, that might be another front you could
explore.
