[ckan-dev] Creating an Extension to modify Add Dataset

Greetings,
  Is it possible to create an extensio<http://docs.ckan.org/en/latest/extensions/tutorial.html>n that modifies a data set and creates fields in the add dataset UI?

Additional fields to be added

  *   Publication Year
  *   Resource Level Identification

Any guidance would be great.
