[ckan-dev] Why doesn't CKAN use ReclineJS preview's Filter option?

At the original recline JS's demo of its multiview grid (http://okfnlabs.org/recline/demos/multiview/), it has 3 options for filtering. They are the value, range and geo distance options.
I have enabled this function on my CKAN 2.2 by enabling the FilterEditor instead of the default ValueEditor within a recline preview.js file.
However, it does not filter by numerical range on my data resources on CKAN at all even when data types were correctly converted to number/numeric types.
I was wondering if there are problems with CKAN and the Filter editor options that makes it incompatible. I'm speculating that this might be the reason why ValueEditor is used instead of the better FilterEditor.
