Hi, Nigel

I used CKAN 2.1 images on VM Depot to deploy on Window Azure. And I am developing an extension on 2.2.

Recently, I tried to deploy my extension on Azure which is 2.1. I have got some errors - I think it is caused by I implements DefaultOrganisationForm which is new in 2.2, and not in 2.1.

So I thought I could update 2.1 to 2.2, it would be much easier for me. That ended up with the error below.
Now, I have created a fresh ubuntu vm and had a fresh installation. Now, all good.

Can you help me close this question, please?

Many thanks for your help
Cheer

Qifeng

Hi Qifeng,

I'm confused what you've tried. Let me try to get the timeline correctly.

1. You have ckan 2.1 installed from packages on your server.
2. You downloaded python-ckan_2.2_amd64.deb and installed it.
3. It doesn't work.

Did you restart your apache and nginx server after the update?

It is definitely not wise to install one of the build debs. They're specifically not supposed to be installed on production. They're only there for testing pre-release. Is it possible for you to uninstall the ckan package completely (backup your config file) and install the 2.2 package again?
