[ckan-dev] Harvest Error

I ran into an issue that is similar to the one detailed in this thread:

Essentially, a harvest source was removed through the harvest paster
command (harvester rmsource).  After removing it, we tried to just access
CKAN, but received the following error:

"Action 'harvest_source_show_status' not found"

I had to remove the plugins from the config file, re-initialize the
databases (wiping them out and rebuilding them), add the plugins back,
and restart.

Does anyone know why this error occurs?
