[ckan-dev] (New?) Group membership in CKAN 2.3

Hey there,

We are currently deploying CKAN 2.3 for a multi-organization portal and I
noticed what sounds like a new feature: group membership: in order to link
a dataset/package with a group, the user also has to be member of the group.

In our case, we will have 12 groups (used as themes like most other do), so
we don't see ourselves adding each user to 12 groups.

I've searched for a config parameter or something either to disable this
group membership validation or force all users to be members of group but
haven't found anything.

Any idea? Is there someone from the core team familiar with this feature?
Surprisingly I haven't found anything about that in the changelog.
