[ckan-dev] Override method

Hello!
I want to slightly modify the "new_resource" method in ckan/controllers/package.py. Can I in a plugin somehow override that method? I have without success tried with the IActions interface.
What I want to do is to add
                                 elif save_action == 'finish':
to the save_action checks. This because we in our dataset form doesn't want the third tab, "Additional Info".
