[ckan-dev] All datasets disappeared

Hi Mike
Sounds like Solr’s somehow lost all of it’s indexed datasets. If you’re still able to view the dataset search page /dataset without getting a server error then it would seem that solr is still at least running. Not quite sure though why dumping and reloading the database would fix it though.

Try running this to rebuild the indexes:
#with your python virtualenv activated
cd /usr/lib/ckan/default/src/ckan
paster search-index rebuild -c /etc/ckan/default/production.ini

Then see if your datasets are listed at /dataset. Let me know if that fixes it (or not).

Hi,

Today one of our CKAN instances (2.2) had all of it's datasets disappear. Everything else on the site worked fine.

There were no errors generated in the log files that we can see.

If you knew the exact URL of the dataset you could go there, but nothing would display on the /data page.

We resolved the issue by dumping and reloading the database.

Thoughts?

Mike
