[ckan-dev] datahub.io

Hi Pieter,

It depends what you mean by maintained.

If you mean "who occassionally pokes the server and creates organizations" that'd be me, Rufus, and until recently, Richard Cyganiak. We're all volunteers.

If you mean "who is doing active voluntary development", I think the answer is currently nobody, and it seems it is extremely hard to find others willing to volunteer time to maintain it. The DCAT work is happening in ckanext-dcat rather than core - chances are it'll work with 2.2.

I'd like to be able to find the time to upgrade to 2.3, but it'll require some changes because of where datahub.io stores the content, and what 2.3 supports (or not), which means it is unlikely to be a trivial upgrade.

The rdf-export hasn't been running, it needs setting up as a cronjob and then adding as a dataset pointing to the local nginx. I'm pretty busy today, if you remind me tomorrow (@rossjones on twitter) I'll do it in the morning.

On the subject of maintenance and support, might this be something the LOD cloud would be interested in helping with?

Ross
