[ckan-dev] Expression of Interest: CKAN consultant for government training (February or March 2016)

Hi everyone,

At Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) we're looking for a CKAN
consultant who can deliver a technical training for a government team
running an official CKAN instance.

Summary:

Participants: 3 engineers and 3 technicians (network, system, database
engineers, web development) with the responsibility for managing a
government CKAN site.



Period/duration: End of February or early March (latest) for 3-4 days plus
opportunity for additional remote consulting days.



Location of training: Turkey or another country in the Western Balkans /
MENA region. NRGI to organize all logistics.



Training language: English. Even better if French is possible as training
language as well.



Expectations of content:

- Introduction to CKAN (architecture, pre-requisites)

2.     -  Installation and setting up of CKAN

3.      - Updating CKAN from one version to another

4.      - CKAN installation as separate database (3 tier)

5.      - CKAN and cluster

6.      - Harvesting data

7.      - Basics of developing CKAN extensions

8.      - Useful information on CKAN APIs

9.      - Integration or CKAN on CMS.



NRGI will cover travel, visa costs and compensation based on experience.

-          - Suggested day rate
