[ckan-dev] Overwriting auth function from another extension

Hello,
Assuming there is *extension A* having an auth method *authX*. Is it
possible to overwrite the auth menthod *authX* from another *extension B *?
Our case: we are trying to change an auth method from "showcase" extension
from another extension.
