Hi List,

I have read the documentation and am currently installing CKAN 2.8.2 from source on an ubuntu 18.04 server. Untill now everything went sweet, but there are some questions:

>From the documentation this section:
https://docs.ckan.org/en/2.8/maintaining/installing/install-from-source.html#create-a-ckan-config-file

tells the user to

	sudo mkdir -p /etc/ckan/default
	sudo chown -R `whoami` /etc/ckan/ ## << either this
sudo chown -R `whoami` ~/ckan/etc ## << OR this. not relevant for 'standart install'

If I understand this correctly the last chown is only relevant for those doing development and having ckan on their home directory. I was puzzled for a minute. Would be great if this gets clarified.

For the Solr Jetty section:
https://docs.ckan.org/en/2.8/maintaining/installing/install-from-source.html#setup-solr

I found that ubuntu 18.04 will use jetty9 which is not a big deal:
https://github.com/ckan/ckan/issues/4311#issuecomment-423031565

But I am unshure which 'jetty configuration file' I should edit:

start.ini ## << this one?
jetty.conf

I think the first one. In the documentation the parameters are ALL_CAPS but in the start.ini they are lowercase. I think that is not relevant?

cheers,
Florian
