Hi Martin

May I ask why you are seeking to do this? At first glance, it looks like it
may be simpler to just use CKAN.org. I'm not trying to stop you, I'm
just quite interested in how people are using the software.

I don't have an image, but could probably prepare one. I personally think
that the Google App Engine will be a more productive route than Amazon.
Amazon's recent actions have left a fairly bitter taste in my mouth and I'm
less willing to support that platform at present. Additionally, my thesis is
due next week so wont be able to do this immediately.

If you are considering learning yourself, I recommend downloading Ubuntu.
The CKAN team have documented the installation procedures fairly well.
Amazon's instructions are quite complete and straight forward[1].
