Hi Peter,

We've been looking into the issue you reported about creating new datasets
(email pasted below for reference).

We've been looking into it today but we haven't been able to recreate the
issue on staging or live (I created one test dataset on live and have
deleted it now)

Datasets get set as DRAFT unless all three steps of "add dataset" process
have been completed. From your email it sounds like you had trouble when
adding a resource. Would it be possible for you us to have a quick call
tomorrow morning where I watch you trying to upload a new dataset and I can
see what's happening?

Would 08:30 BST/17:00 local time work for you? We can use the conference
call details below.

Best,

==================

Hi Gavin,****

Thanks for fixing this.****

** **

I have another problem now! I’ve resumed adding entries since the
migration. Initially I updated many of the existing entries to fix a few
inconsistencies in what I entered. The entries all seemed to update
successfully.****

** **

Then I tried to add some NEW entries and the problem is they don’t change
from DRAFT status to be properly released.****

** **

I entered the first template information (titles etc) and then was
presented with the second template (resource) to upload or link to the
datasets. I have done one of each to see if either worked..….Dog
Registrations (UPLOAD) and Election Ephemera (LINK). Once I had entered
the relevant information in the resource template I pressed
“next:additional information”. Instead of progressing to the third screen,
it revisited the second screen template (empty) as if I wished to add a
second resource. If I pressed “next:additional information” a second time
it did in fact move on to the third template where I completed that
information and then pressed “finish”. I was returned to the datasets
screen where [draft] was displayed after the datasets name. I couldn’t
work out how I could change the status and when eventually I left the new
entry, i.e. went to view all datasets I could no longer access the new
entry. Ii seems to still be draft. I’m trying to remember if there was a
way to change this (i.e. ‘release’ the entry) external to the front end??

At one stage I tried “save and add another” resource rather than “next
:additional information” to see if it would store the information. It
didn’t make any apparent difference *although* the first time I tried to
upload Dog Registrations several times I was presented with multiple copies
of the resource, where I proceeded to delete the extra copies. I don’t
know how I got into that screen where I could delete them. This still
didn’t help me when I left the draft and went to view all datasets, where
the new ones weren’t displayed.****

** **

Hope that explains the problem adequately.****

Regards,****

  Peter
