[CKAN-support] deployment options

Hi Support

I'd like to find out what considerations I should make when choosing a deployment configuration as listed on http://docs.ckan.org/en/latest/deployment.html
What's the difference between deploying with 'nginx and apache' and just apache?

Also I'm having some trouble deploying with apache/niginx (as per deployment instructions) on a local, non-internet-facing, machine. I just get a 404 error and can't for the life of me work out what is the problem. There's nothing in the logs to suggest anything.

In the apache config file I have this as the domain name for my site.
ServerName localhost
ServerAlias localhost
I don't know if this should work or not though. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
