Hi Support
I have a question from Smart Services Queensland on how their Atom Feeds should be working. It seems that, as in the email below, subscribing to anything just gives you the same feed.
Could you tell me what the behaviour of Atom Feeds should be? Is there a way to configure feeds to be for a discrete dataset or organisation?
Thanks
George

Subject: RSS de-featured in 2.0?
Hey George
Just found out from Ray that RSS feeds seem to have been de-featured in CKAN 2.0.
Previously, you could subscribe to RSS from any page to get updates...e.g. you could follow an organisation, a user, a category, or a combination of search terms, tags etc...
Now, subscribing to RSS, regardless on where you do it from, gives only a feed for all datasets...
Besides not being very rad for our customers, it also means we have not met targets in our roadmap... Targets that have been communicated to the overarching board, and to Cabinet.
This is a problem.
We need to be able to give people a means of following datasets... Another option, not as nice as working RSS, would be if we could configure the public 'register' option (removed from ours) to only allow people to create 'Reader' accounts... Is this possible? And does CKAN send email alerts when followed datasets are updated?
Sorry to harsh your mellow on a Friday afternoon. :)
