[ddj] Best example of data driven journalism?

Hi fellow ddj -people,

I'm preparing a short introductory presentation for "ddj -beginners" and 
I would like to start it with one (only one) example strory, that would 
capture the essence of data driven journalism.

Therfore I ask your opinion: What is your favourite data journalism 
-story / example?
