Hey everyone,

Get ready for some more interesting articles coming your way. Firstly, for
those of you who missed the Data.Journalism! conference and workshop in
Vienna, there is no need to worry.
Here<http://datadrivenjournalism.net/news_and_analysis/Data_journalism_hits_Vienna>is
an informative and comprehensive recap of the event.

Secondly, if you want to start turning your datasets into a narrative, this
video<http://datadrivenjournalism.net/news_and_analysis/video_turning_data_into_narrative_2012_mit_knight_civic_media_conference>is
a must see. The video is from the 2012
MIT-Knight Civic Media
Conference<http://civic.mit.edu/category/blog-tags/conference2012>,
which was held from 17 to 19 June 2012 and focused on the topic of "The
Story and the Algorithm". The event was hosted by the MIT Media Lab and
brought together the leading media innovators who are shaping the future of
news and information. The main question addressed was the issue of, "what
stories do data tell?". Based on the knowledge that data and datasets
containing information about our communities, politics, government, and
beyond, are becoming increasingly more available, the participating
panelists discussed and explored some of the strategies available for
finding and sharing stories embedded within various data sets. Check it
out. It's definitely worth your time.

Have a nice day :)

Cheers,
Hanna
