Hello guys,
I have found the Google Fusion Table guide really useful for my purposes.
Being the official guide for this tool it should be updated frequently.
Hope that helped.

Hi,
Parts of the tutorial (originally published here: https://sites.google.com/site/fusiontablestalks/talks/fusion-tables-where-2-0-workshop) is great, but it’s a bit old. It shows under part 6) where there is a reference to the numeric ID which no longer is used by Google Fusion.
Thanks,Tommy Kaas

Hello everyone, If any of you are interested in learning how to make a map with Google Fusion tables, there is a great tutorial that was written by Kathryn Hurley at Google that you might find useful. The topics that are covered are: uploading data, merging tables, configuring InfoWindow, style, updating permissions, and embedding Map Visualization in webpage.
Each section is a step by step guide, which makes the material easier to learn. You can take a look here: http://goo.gl/XWcjm
