Totally agree with that. Looking at a journalism types of projects that are useful for readers, look reasonably polished yet are also relatively quick to produce for a small team on deadline would be extraordinarily helpful.

Actually, a focus on techniques to produce visualisations quickly in a time sensitive environment (without sacrificing quality) would also be good. That would certainly help me and a lot of other journalists.
