If one of your career goals is to grow in your journalism and tell unique
and impactful stories then sign –up for Internews in Kenya one-week data
journalism workshop.

The workshop, that will be held from May 26 to May 30, in Nairobi, is open
to journalists working for media outlets in Kenya.

The open data movement has made vast amounts of data and information
available around the world. However, journalists are yet to maximize the
use of the data to tell investigative and compelling stories because they
are not skilled at sourcing and analyzing it.

After the training journalists will receive further mentoring to write good
data journalism proposals . Based on the proposals they will be provided
with travel grants that will enable them identify and capture human voices
to go with the data.

Enroll by sending your CV and two copies of health features done within the
last six months to datadredger at internews.org

Application deadline, May 13, 2014.
