Hi all -
I am leaving my role as Data Editor at The Times and Sunday Times.
*First job on offer is mine! - applications close Dec 11 *
http://www.gorkanajobs.co.uk/job/66225/the-times-and-sunday-times-data-journalism-editor/
I am heading over to The Bureau of Investigative Journalism to be the
Director of their new Local Data Lab. The project is really cool - it is in
part funded by Google's Digital News Initiative.
The aim of the Lab is to build a national data resource for reporters
across the UK. The Lab will pull together and analyse national-scale
datasets to help supply local and national leads for members of the Lab’s
collaborative network (think Pro Publica meeting the ICIJ for the UK).
They are looking for a data journalist (fluent in at least one programming
language) and a developer - basically, lovers of open source and open data
who want to work on a cool initiative to improve and innovate public
interest journalism.
*Apply if you are interested, pass on to anyone you think might be, or get
in touch if you are someone working working at a regional, local or
hyperlocal level in the UK and would be interested in collaborating.*
*Data Journalist - applications close Dec 15*

*Developer - applications close Dec 19*

Hope to hear from some of you!
