I'm not sure! :)
Maybe many simply do not have overview of the possibilities and what exists
out there.
Or they do not have the skills and think it is more complicated than it
actually is!

Maybe also these tools are not well enough integrated with their
CMS-systems; I've even spoker with developers about all the hassel that is
sometimes needed just to get up simple graphs on the newspapers website..

Even though there are many great tools out there, I still think there are
room for improvements and small details that could make life a lot easier.
I've used CartoDB and there is a function for integrating the spreadsheet
with google drive, woule be awesome to use it for collaborating on data to
be displayed directly on the map, but unfortunally the function is only
available for paid subscribers. I also miss a really really simple scraping
tool that could crawl specific sites and give me updates when info there is
changing.
