Dear all,

I agree, the white looks much better.

Just as a mind teaser: would it be nice to have an Epsi icon? If so, any
ideas?

HI all,

I haven't heard new feedback from you guys on the next iteration of the
design (as attached).

Myself I like the white one much better than the dark blue dominated one:
makes it lighter and less boring (more depth in the design as well).

If you have any feedback, please let me know, so I can take the next step
with the designer.

At epsi.reinvented.net I have started to build a mock-up of the site.
Nothing much to see there yet, but it is where I will be working on the
wireframes / put the site in scaffolds, and where I'll play with adding the
design later.

Hoi Ton,

Hierbij de nieuwe revisie van het ontwerp, ik heb zoveel mogelijk van de
adviezen mee genomen en ook een voorstel gemaakt voor een content pagina.

Als extra heb ik ook een voorpagina toegevoegd die wat lichter is qua
kleurgebruik om de discussie levendig te houden en als een soort second
opinion te gebruiken.

De submenu's bovenaan zullen via mouseclick geladen worden. Dus als je in de
menubalk op bijvoorbeeld "Examples" klikt zullen daaronder de subkopjes
"Good Practice","Cases" etc er onder verschijnen.

Also, I was wondering whether there will be subpages and how they will look
like. In other words, is there an overall structure already?

Hi all,

I do like the first sketch. I agree with some of  Marc's point, e.g.

- too much text

- I also like the idea of icons to visually identify types of content
(category, country?)

- on the events section I clearly miss something that immediately shows me
the date of the items or even an overview (calendar)

- for news and events I miss a "subscribe to feed / ical"

- the 3 categories at the bottom, e.g. "good practice, psi report and cases"
will not get a lot of attention there. We might include them between guest
blog and news & events section in a raw with 3 columns?

As Ton and Marc I am curious about the subpages e.g. "content" -pages.

Mijn eigen feedback gaat eigenlijk in gelijksoortige richting:

nog een hoop tekst, is er ergens plek om bijvoorbeeld een selectie foto's in
te tonen. Vooral het massieve blauw er omheen maakt het 'dicht' en saai
volgens mij. Is er een derde kleur denkbaar als accent die het sprankelender
maakt. Of een kleuren palet wat past qua kleur bij het logo, maar er wel
duidelijk van afwijkt, en er meer complementair aan is? 

De feedback die over content structuur gaat hoef je natuurlijk niet mee te
nemen uit bovenstaande, daar maak ik notitie van voor het functioneel
ontwerp van de site.

Tot slot is het denk ik zoals de anderen vragen goed om ook even naar een
contentpagina te kijken. Kan dat?

Kun je hier iets mee?

Hallo Ton,

Hierbij een eerste schets voor de nieuwe epsi site. Ik heb me ze redelijk
strak gehouden aan de whitehouse.gov indeling en tegelijkertijd zoveel
mogelijk elementen van de epsi site geprobeerd over te nemen, het is bijna
meer een visuele mashup dan een site ontwerp.

Een klein beetje extra uitleg:
- De titelbalken bevatten allemaal aan de rechterkant een knop, vandaar dat
er dingen staan als "more","advanced" en "follow".
- Het "welcome John Smith" is alleen voor gebruikers die zijn ingelogd, bij
nieuwe gebruikers zal het tips geven over de wat en links naar uitleggende
pagina's

Ik heb ook het photoshop bestand bijgevoegd mocht iemand de neiging hebben
om zelf lekker te gaan schuiven met het voorstel.
