[okfn-coord] Fwd: [okfn-discuss] Ideas for OKCon 2010?

Wikimedia UK are interesting in getting involved in OKCon, perhaps as
partners -- see below. What do people think? (As far as I can tell so
far they seem a fairly reasonable bunch of people and Wikimedia is a
nice name to have on board :) )

If we think it is a reasonable idea I think we should also go to Soren
(and anyone else on the programme committee) and check they are happy
to and then take it to okfn-discuss.

It also makes me think that we want to think about the partnership and
sponsorship process for the future (not only how we go looking for
people, but how we decide to accept offers).

Wikimedia UK are very interested in getting involved with the OKCon,
possibly becoming partners with OKFN in the running of the conference
if you guys were interested, or to whatever level of involvement you
feel is best.

There is a possibility of financial support depending on how
successful our first annual fundraiser is but I wouldn't want to give
any gaurentees.

Any feedback, comments or ideas?

Seddon
