Dear OKFN Board

I understand you are curently looking for new board members. I'd like
to put myself forward.

As a Director of the organisation, I realise I would be part of a body
accountable for the legal and financial probity of the organisation
and I'm very willing to take on this responsibility.

I've already enjoyed working on the OKFN public domain burn project as
a developer and I'm willing to dedicate more developer time, should
that be what the organisation needs (I've been pleased to do
significant development work for the Open Rights Group). I'm also a
ready and willing sysadmin.

I'm aware that I can bring to the Board my experience of working in a
business that is building its product on open knowledge (human genome
project, etc), and would be interested in expanding the OKFN's profile
in the scientific community, both academic and commercial.

I'm want to join the Board because in order to be part of a team that
is guiding a successful organisation, and OKFN not only operates in an
area that has shaped my personal and professional interests for many
years, but also looks to be at a very promising stage in its history.
I would like to be part of its future.
