[okfn-coord] CKAN and the GLA (was: Fwd: Visit to the GLA)

We've been invited by the GLA to come and demo CKAN to them (for
potential use in their datastore)!

I think we should definitely go and at least do the day of installing
and chatting. One question:

How much should we charge for this day if a) our developer just goes
b) I and the developer go?

Regards,

Rufus

Serious invite from GLA. Sounds a bit full on - and not sure it
wouldn't be better having your help doing the install - am a bit
nervous about it. Also the potential to be doing CO things. What do
you think?

Hi David,

Very good to meet you the other day.

Myself and the colleagues cc'd into this e-mail are the technical /
functional working party for the London DataStore.  We are very
interested in making use of CKAN as the "engine" for the DataStore and
would like to invite you to spend a day with us on Tuesday 10
November.  Ideally, we would like to install a trial version of CKAN
on this day and work with you to understand its capabilities.

Please let me know if this is acceptable.  If your time comes at a
cost, please let me know what the charge is.  Ahead of your visit, my
colleague Luke Whitelock also wondered whether he could talk with you
on the phone, on Monday, to prepare for your day with us.  If this is
ok, please let me/him have a phone number.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
Duminda
