[foundation-board] Leaving the OKFN board

Hi everyone

The OKFN has grown tremendously over the past few years.  It is now a global force for open knowledge, and much bigger than when I joined in 2009! After over 8 years of non-profit work on open licensing issues, first with CC Scotland and then with Open Data Commons and then the past 3 years with the OKFN, it's been quite a fun and enjoyable ride. As the OKFN has scaled, so has my work and home commitments, and so it is with some sadness that I must move on from my role as a board member.

I'll be attending our next meeting (in September) and if there's a need, I can attend the December meeting. 

I'm hoping that this change will allow me to concentrate on other ways to contribute to Open Knowledge, such as through the Open Data Commons project and being more active on our mailing lists and events from time to time.

With the growth in the organisation comes a growth in the board, and it's great to be leaving with such a strong board in place. I've really enjoyed working with each and every one of you during my time on the board. I'd be more than happy to help where I can in the future with advice or a chat.
