[iRail] NMBS is making their own iPhone app.

Chill :). Their app isn't in the app store yet.
I have seen no ads, and if it passes now, why not wait and see the reaction of users (and improve where they failed)

Releasing a half finish app will make people go "zomg BeTrains sucks" and they won't try out updates either.

And only the Standard posted something about it. No major news yet afaik. And we all knew NMBS was going to release an iPhone app soonish.

You can start with open sourcing PHP chat part; Pieter can directly improve and fix stuff there.
We'll remain backwards compatible and hand out API keys for security. The keys are read from a not open sourced file or from a DB, and thus, those keys remain private.

I'll guarantee you there won't be any spam. Just you, Christophe and Tim soon that will need to request an API key and implement the use of the key.

As for open sourcing your Xcode app, we don't all own an iPhone, but we can read the code and see funky stuff, and comment on that, without directly editing your code, just "hey, did you try to <fill in something>" ;)

I can help you through with github or something or host beta iPhone BeTrains bins ("nightly build", you just provide the provision file with all the IDs)

Let's be clear, we're all in this together. We're a team :P Need help? Ask!

I actually did spend 6hours fighting at work getting some rootkits/viruses off my computer, went home and learned about the sncb app... I wonder what's gonna happen tonight, mayby my appartment will burn down :)

The php scripts are ready so normally there isn't much to do on that side.
