Improved view test case class, refactored cookie methods into strategies, then applied to create request object fixtures with only a cookie for a session created for the viewer named in concrete view test cases. This encapsulates the access control side of testing view classes and provides a single test case attribute ('viewerName') for configuration, making it very easy for the normally access controlled functionality of view classes to be developed test-first.
