best advice - if the data is about socially weak and not those in control of
society - in case of doubt and, or your lawyers say you got into a legal grey
zone. don't do it. just drop the project. i mean just because something is not
legislated yet (or even actively deregulated by the beneficiaries of such lack
of control) probably means it's on the opposite of respecting basic human
rights. this is like the nsa/snowden thing, people seem to believe they can
protect themselves, but they have no clue about their adversary or its
capabilities. and anonymisation is a quite low barrier. even if there is no
doubt, doesn't mean it should not be dropped, some data that looks totally
unrelated to privacy concerns becomes such if aggregated with other data, and
you can't deny that after the release. just don't do it. at least as long as
you do not take financial responsibility for all it's consequences.
