There's something in that, but it's an OSM challenge, not an ODbL one.

OSM should indeed give credit to its editors. But that's a community  
issue for OSM. Asking every single user of the database to credit all  
100,000 OSM mappers is impractical and it's good that ODbL (unlike CC- 
BY-SA) doesn't insist on it.
