---------------------------------Apologies if you receive this info more
than once --------------------------------------------

An obvious synergy between this LOD/SWIG group, the OKF and the Gov camp
tomorrow

I hope to see some related talks on Saturday, if nothing else, about the
nice possibilities for collaboration between
these three communities?

Or maybe I ll pitch the pilot?

Hi ScotGovCampers!

We're only a couple of days away now, so time for a few reminders:

   - Registration will be 0945 - 1015.
   - If you already know what you want to talk about, it'll save a bit of
time if you could let me know in advance - just ping me an email.
   - We'll have a limited number of wifi accounts - if you'll be needing
wifi access on Saturday, please let me know *asap*.
   - If you're planning to lead a session and have a PowerPoint/Prezi/video,
you'll need to bring your own laptop.
   - It would be great to capture the discussions for those you can't attend
   - tweet, blog, take pictures, write stuff on post-its and stick them on the
wall (but don't write directly on the walls :-)), get yourself tattooed (a
la Guy Pearce in Memento) - whatever works for you. We'll collate content
as much as possible via the ScotGovCamp website:
   http://scotgovcamp.wordpress.com/
   - And if you don't have your own blog but would like to have a go, you'd
be very welcome to blog on the ScotGovCamp website. Let me know and I'll get
you set up with an account.

And remember a GovCamp is powered by participation. You create the content,
and session topics are driven by your needs, interests and skills. So please
come along ready to get stuck in!

And now a word from our very lovely sponsors:
"*Learning Pool, sponsors of ScotGovCamp, are hosting some pre-event drinks
on Friday night in Edinburgh!*
*
*
*Kicking off at 6pm at the Apex International Hotel in the Grassmarket, it
will be a great informal way to get everyone together before the event,
getting all the introductions and stuff out of the way.*
*
*
*Learning Pool will be paying for a few rounds of drinks too, which is a
bonus! Even if you can't make the event on Saturday, feel free to pop in for
a glass of pop and a natter - and invite colleagues along too, especially if
the thought of spending a night in a bar chatting to a bunch of government
geeks sounds like their kind of evening*."

But please don't stay out *too* late - we want you all bright, breezy and
raring to go on Saturday morning!

Lesley
