[@OKFNau] Best place for mashups?

In this context I am treating mashup as a project involving data
exploration of an unexplored dataset by numerous people with varying
objectives or interests, with an output of interest to the broader public.

Specifically, if I acquire an open dataset on food nutrients and mine it
for useful data and present the information for general public
consumption; where would it be best stored?

I presume GitHub would be the best forum for collaborative work but it
falls down a little in presentation of outcomes and distribution of
outcomes to social media sites.
