However, 'Open Knowledge' is the correct reference internationally and
'Open Knowledge Australia' is the correct reference locally.

Acronyms are discouraged but unavoidable. OKAU Is what I use. It is easily
confused as the website domain is okfn.org and the twitter handle is okfnau.

Formally, use Open Knowledge Australia. I would suggest OKAU for the
acronym :)
