[@OKau] funding for events?

Hi,
Just to clarify. We have some funding in Melbourne that was left over from
the money that DSDBI gave us for GovHack last year and they agreed should
be used for ongoing community development work. Hence the meetup and snacks
(drinks on ThoughtWorks, shopping and chopping mainly by Lachlan, for which
we are truly grateful).
It was discussed at a board meeting last year that should there be any
additional money available post-GovHack that it would be made available to
support local activities, as long as the event organiser provided a
write-up for the blog (and receipts!). We'll need to bed down this process
now that we have a treasurer and a bank account. My understanding was that
there were some funds that could be used to support local activities but I
may have got my wires crossed.
