CODE, DEBUGGING THE GENDER GAP

It's International Women's Day, and at Code for Australia we're into diversity, of all sorts; from the code we write to the people we work with.

We know gender diversity is an important topic, especially in the tech world where there's quite a bit of talk and not so much action going on. To celebrate diversity, raise awarenes and help us do more about gender diversity in CivicTech, we're hosting an event to do just that.

To start the night we're going to be showing the documentary Code, Debugging the Gender Gap (click on image above for trailer), and then follow the film with a discussion on what can we -as a society- do to address the gender gap.

Governments at all levels are starting their budgeting process. What if we could make budgeting information more accessible and understandable to the communities that need this information the most.

What will happen

The Hackathon will be split over two dates, one fortnight apart.

Hack 1:
23rd March @ Outware Mobile:  3/469 La Trobe St, Melbourne | 6:00 - 9:00pm
Hack 2:
6th of April @ Zendesk: 700 Bourke St, Docklands | 6:00 - 8:30pm
