My Introduction to Open Data<https://www.openlearning.com/search/?q=open+data> went live at Openlearning.com overnight.

You can read about it at my latest blog post<https://openaus.net.au/blog/2016/03/10/your-chance-to-make-a-difference-with-open-data-the-ogp/>.

Highlights of interest to this group include:

One of the challenges asks participants to think of a data-set of interest that might be publishable by their local council. Participants are asked to search data.gov.au (or other repository) for the data-set they think would be useful. If it is not found participants are then encouraged to make a request for it through data.gov.au

Another module offers the opportunity for participants to contribute to a crowd-sourced list of open data-sets that can be included in a submission to the Open Government Partnership National Action Plan.

Please check out the curriculum<https://www.openlearning.com/search/?q=open+data>.

regards,

Rosie Williams BA (Sociology)
