Dear Sunlighter,

Sunlight has come a long way in eight years, and it’s been an incredible
journey from 2006 to now.

We’ve worked to strengthen our democracy by advancing forward-thinking
public policy solutions and used civic tech and big data to shine a light
on how government and political influence works. We’ve worked to engage and
inform citizens by making participating in our democracy easier. Just this
year, Sunlight played an instrumental role in ensuring passage of the first
federal open data law, the DATA Act, that will greatly improve how we can
track federal spending. There are too many highlights to fit into one
email, so we’ve compiled all of them into an interactive report.
