Subject: invitational hackathon in Doha

This isn't directly related to the Nodes, but might be of interest to
members of the ODI community, including open source developers, designers
and other open data folks.

Al Jazeera is going to sponsor a civic hackathon, called Canvas, focused on
media and open source technology.  This will be a bit different from other
civic hackathons in which you may have participated.  It will be an
invitational hackathon - if you want to participate, you'll need to submit
an application, but if your application is accepted, it will be an
all-expenses-paid trip to Doha, Qatar for the event at the end of November.

I think the organizers are particularly interested in a diverse set of
participants from around the world, so if you know folks that might be good
