*World Bank Group Needs Your Comments on New PPP Gender Resources *

Because of varying societal roles and household responsibilities,
public-private partnership (PPP) projects can have different impacts on
women and men. It is therefore crucial that the knowledge and awareness of
gender implications be thoroughly integrated into every step of the PPP
project cycle. To provide guidance, the World Bank Group’s PPP in
Infrastructure Resource Center (PPPIRC) curated a rich and diverse suite of
key resources on the topic, segmented by agriculture, education, energy,
and many more infrastructure project areas. Visit Gender Impacts of PPPs

and email ppp em worldbank.org with your feedback by January 31.

The enchanting city of Saint Petersburg, Russia, boasts the canals of

<http://blogs.worldbank.org/ppps/how-more-proactively-disclose-information-public-private-partnership-projects-your-input-needed>
By
Robert Hunja (11.24.15)

For too long, there has been a dearth of literature and guidance on policy
and practice in public-private partnership (PPP) disclosure and a wide gap
in understanding the mechanics of disclosure by practitioners within
governments and the private sector. The just-released Framework for
Disclosure in Public-Private Partnership Projects, a systematic structure
for proactively disclosing information, fills this gap.

Infrastructure requires a lot of coordination throughout the development,
construction, maintenance and day-to-day operations of projects and the
systems in which they operate. Yet, even with sophisticated organization,
the often most overlooked issue is communication and the real-time flow of

and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development (MP3EI) – relies heavily
on how quickly it can build new infrastructure to support its rapid growth.

When our team at IFC got the mandate in 2010 for a public-private
partnership (PPP) to set up a 5-megawatt grid-connected solar rooftop (SRT)
in Gandhinagar (Gujarat, India), some thought that the project was too
small to make a difference. In fairness, it would have required a true
visionary to fully grasp the potential of grid-connected solar rooftops.
