Hello,
Thank you for your work on "GéoThink, un projet de recherche sur les données ouvertes géospatiales"
State representatives have used population projections to justify open and closing facilities, including nearly 200 public schools in BC between 2001 and 2011; however, methods were not made public. We discovered the Official Statistical Agency, BC Stats had disseminated incorrect methods and numbers.
The Population Projection Project was designed to address community members' questions about how population projections are created, for education purposes. The PPP uses an easy to understand method refering to open data (census counts) to create verifiable and reproducible projections.

The goal is to share the population projection method so that community members can be well informed regarding issues related to population change.
