Sorry for the crosspost with other mailing list.

Il y a quelques semaines, nous (Nord Ouvert) avons lancé
JeVeuxSavoir.org<http://jeveuxsavoir.org/>,
un portail en ligne pour faire des demandes d'accès à l'information
fonctionnant avec Alaveteli, le logiciel libre supportant
WhatDotheyKnow<http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/>(180 000 demandes
d'accès traitées, des dizaines de milliers de documents
"libérés")

En plus du site, nous organisons le 30 novembre prochain un Infothon (
http://www.eventbrite.com/e/billets-infothon-jeveuxsavoir-9284906405) pour
expliquer comment la loi d'accès à l'information fonctionne (et ses
limites) et pour vous aider à soumettre des demandes d'accès l'information
(et c'est plus simple que vous pensez).

Bref, si vous voulez comprendre ce qu'est l'accès l'information, comment
c'est un outil très intéressant pour obtenir de l'information/des données
mais aussi quelles sont les limites de la loi actuelle, je vous invite à
vous inscrire à JeVeuxSavoir et à l'infothon pour en savoir plus

Few weeks ago, we (Open North) launched JeVeuxSavoir.org (
http://jeveuxsavoir.org/), an ATI web portal for some Quebec Ministries
(currently as a pilot project with financial support from the minister in
charge of Democratic Institutions and civic engagement, hopefully after the
pilot we could list all the organizations covered by the ATI law). JVS runs
with Alaveteli, the same open source software developed for WhatDoTheyKnow.

Unfortunately it is only in French because we had some issues with the
"internationalization" of Alaveteli.

In order to promote JeVeuxSavoir and the overall access to information, we
are also organizing an Infothon (
http://www.eventbrite.com/e/billets-infothon-jeveuxsavoir-9284906405) in
Montréal on Nov 30th, to explain how the ATI law work, what are the
limitations and also to write and send to requests (either directly or via
JVS). If by chance some of you are in Montréal on Nov 30th, you are more
than welcome! else, anybody can you JeVeuxSavoir and send some requests.
